FlowAlgo Pricing (2026)

M
By Matt
Mining engineer turned options trader. Built Flow Proof because the existing tools weren't worth what they charged.

FlowAlgo is one of the oldest options flow services, and it's priced like it. Here's exactly what it costs as of October 2026, what that adds up to over a year, and whether there's a cheaper way to get what you're after. Quick disclosure: I build Flow Proof, a free put-selling scanner. It is not an options flow tool, so I'll be straight about where it does and doesn't replace FlowAlgo.

About FlowAlgo

FlowAlgo is a veteran options flow platform. It shows real-time sweeps and block trades as they hit the tape, dark pool prints, and a searchable history of flow going back to June 2017. It's built for active traders who want raw institutional order flow and are comfortable interpreting it themselves.

Pricing: $149/month, or $99/month billed yearly (about $1,188/year). Two-week trial for $37. No free plan.

FlowAlgo Strengths

+ Long track record, with flow history back to 2017
+ Fast real-time sweep and block alerts
+ Dark pool prints alongside options flow
+ Clean, professional interface
+ Month-to-month plan, so you can cancel anytime

FlowAlgo Weaknesses

- One of the most expensive flow tools: $1,188 to $1,788 a year
- No free plan and no free trial, only the $37 paid trial
- Raw flow still needs interpreting, and a lot of big trades are just hedges
- Nothing for premium sellers: no IV Rank screening and no trade tracking

The Wheel Strategy Cycle

Each phase generates income. Assignment isn't a failure — it's the transition to the next income-producing phase.

↓SELL PUT◆ASSIGNED↑SELL CALL✓CALLED AWAYTHE WHEELCollect premium atevery phase
1SELL PUT— Collect premium
Sell cash-secured put on a stock you want to own at a lower price
2ASSIGNED— Buy shares at strike
Put expires ITM → you buy 100 shares. Cost basis = strike − premium
3SELL CALL— Collect more premium
Sell covered call above cost basis. Theta works for you again
4CALLED AWAY— Sell shares at strike
Call expires ITM → shares sold at profit. Restart the wheel

The wheel strategy generates income at every phase. Phase 1: sell a cash-secured put and collect premium ($150-400/month on a typical $50 stock). Phase 2: if assigned, your cost basis is the strike minus all premiums collected. Phase 3: sell covered calls against your shares to collect even more premium. Phase 4: when shares are called away, you've profited from the put premium, call premiums, and any stock appreciation. Then the wheel restarts.

The Verdict

If you trade off options flow every day, the $99/month annual plan is the cheapest way to run FlowAlgo, and the $37 trial is a cheap way to find out whether you will. If you're mostly curious about flow, try a cheaper tool first: Unusual Whales has a free tier with delayed data, and OptionStrat sells live flow as a paid add-on. And if what you actually want is to sell puts for income, you don't need a flow tool at all. Flow Proof's scanner does that job for free.

Flow Proof Is Free

Put premium scanner with A to F setup grades, AI trade analysis, and a trade blotter with roll advice. No credit card required.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does FlowAlgo cost per month?

$149/month on the monthly plan, or $99/month if you pay for a year up front (about $1,188). The list price is $199/month, and $149 is the current discounted rate.

Does FlowAlgo have a free trial?

No. The trial costs $37 for two weeks, and it rolls into a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends.

Is there a free version of FlowAlgo?

No, FlowAlgo has no free plan. If you want free options flow, Unusual Whales has a free tier with delayed data. If you're a premium seller, Flow Proof is free, but it's a put-selling scanner, not a flow feed.

Is FlowAlgo worth $149 a month?

Only if you act on flow regularly. $149/month is $1,788 a year, so it needs to change your trades, not just be interesting to watch. Run the $37 trial for the full two weeks and count how many trades it actually led to.

Is Flow Proof a FlowAlgo alternative?

Only if your real goal is selling premium. Flow Proof doesn't show live flow alerts or dark pool prints. It finds stocks worth selling puts on, grades them A to F, and tracks your trades. If you want to follow institutional flow, stick with a flow tool.
